Las Vegas recently invested $2.3 billion in the construction of the revolutionary Sphere arena, which instantly transformed the face of global entertainment. Now, this unique concept is coming to the Middle East, with Abu Dhabi set to become the first city in the region to host this technological icon.
The project’s specifications are breathtaking:
A capacity of 20,000 seats, a 16K resolution LED screen that surrounds the audience from all sides, and the largest outdoor LED display in the world.
The project is funded by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and is being developed under the Sphere Entertainment banner. Thanks to an exclusive ten-year agreement, Abu Dhabi plans to build several Sphere arenas across the MENA region.
To put this into perspective, The Sphere in Las Vegas attracted over 24 million visitors in its first year alone. If this success is replicated, Abu Dhabi could become a new magnet for tourists, investors, and cultural enthusiasts, forever changing its position on the global entertainment map.
